About this position
County Court Judges are responsible for adjudicating cases in Civil and Criminal Courts at the trial-level in certain specific areas, such as small-claims court or drug court.
Eligibility requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a registered voter
- Must be a resident of the district
- Must have relevant professional experience
- Candidate must be admitted to practice law in state 5 years (In counties of 40,000 people or less, this five-year requirement is waived altogether), must be county resident, must be a qualified elector, mandatory retirement at age 75.

Filing Fee:$6072.88 (4% of the annual salary for the position). A candidate may choose to file via petition instead of paying the filing fee, whereby they must collect at least 1% of the total number of registered voters in the county as of the last general election for the office.
