About this position
The Parks and Recreation District board member is responsible for overseeing park and recreation operations within the district.
Eligibility requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a registered voter
- Must be a resident of the district
- Qualified elector/registered voter. A person is not eligible to serve as park commissioner if that person is in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the park district or has been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony. Commissioner must be resident of the Park District at least one year prior to the election.

Fee & signature requirements
No Filing fee. Signature requirements: Petition must be signed by not less than 2% of the number of ballots cast at the last election for trustee or commissioner in the district, but in no case by less than 25.
