About this position

The County Legislature or Executive Board is the governing body of the county and exercises broad policy-making authority. The Board is charged with implementing policy and overseeing the county budget process and allocation.

Fee & signature requirements

Candidates for membership on the governing body of any county or city must collect at least 125 signatures; or if from an election district not at large containing 1,000 or fewer registered voters, 50 signatures. There is a filing fee of 2% of the minimum annual salary for the office sought in effect in the year in which the candidate files for all primary candidates only.
